OK, so its getting time to put everything on my blog so here it goes. I decided to focus on the spine for my project because I find its movement interesting and my flexible spine is the body part I'm most proud of. . . well second most proud of. I started as everyone else does by looking on the Internet for precedents which mostly involved looking at spines and reading about vertebrae. I then sketched a few ideas down. Here is one of them.
Not the best sketch but it was mostly about ideas. However at this point I didnt know how vertibrae moved and interacted so all these ideas would have failed.
I started on a solid works model based on the idea of limited ball and socket joints for vertibrae, however after the trip to kelburn where I got a chance to look at a spine I realised my idea was wrong and went back to the drawing board.
